a website that keeps up

The way customers find you keeps changing.
Your website can keep up with it.

Search is turning into AI answers, and social keeps moving the goalposts. I build you a modern website and run it myself, so it changes as the ground changes instead of ageing behind it.

The same setup I’d build you on. This site runs on it.

the shift

Has anyone else noticed their business is invisible on ChatGPT even though they rank well on Google.

Getting found isn't what it was

For years the plan was simple. You ranked on Google, maybe ran a few ads, and customers found you. That is coming apart. People ask ChatGPT or Perplexity what to buy and never open a search page, Google's own results are turning into AI answers, and the price of ads climbs every year. Keeping up with all of it has quietly become a second job, and a site that sits still keeps losing the customers who now look straight past it.

the groundwork

First, get the message right

A fast, modern site that says the wrong thing still loses. So before I build, I do the groundwork. I test what your site should say against your real market, the words your customers use for the problem and the reason they pick one business over another. You see the answer before a line of the site is built, and the build is shaped around what makes someone buy instead of a guess about it.

This is the part most sites skip. It's where I start.

  • Their words, not yours.I mine how your customers describe the problem, then write the site in their language rather than the one you are close to.
  • The reason they pick you.I find what tips someone toward one business over another, and put it up front rather than three pages in.
  • Proof before the build. You see what the site should say, backed by the market, before it is built. The build starts from evidence, not a hunch.

found by people and by AI

One home base every channel points to

Whether someone asks AI, searches, or scrolls social, it points back to your one site, and that site hands you the person who's looking.

why build it this way

Built once, then evolved as we learn

The build gets you a modern site. What makes it pay off is everything after. I watch how people find and use it, and change it as we learn what works.

  • 01Modern, and quick to change.I build on current tools and host the site myself, which keeps it cheap. When something new lands, like the way ChatGPT started answering shopping questions, I can change your site the same week instead of the following year.
  • 02I read the numbers, so you don't have to.Installed tracking often looks fine while it quietly records nothing, so first I make sure yours really fires. Then I watch what it shows and send you a plain read every two weeks on what is working, what is not, and what I would change next. You get the decisions without the dashboards.
  • 03One person, across the whole thing.I build it, host it, and keep it running. I stay across all of it, from the code underneath to the way a customer first lands on you. Twenty years of shipping production software sit behind that.
I know I should look at the numbers. I just never have the time.

So I read them for you, and tell you what to change next.

how it works

How it runs

  1. 1A look at your site (free).I go through your current site and how customers find you today, and we talk through what I find. You walk away with a questionnaire that pins down what your site needs to say. It costs nothing, no obligation.
  2. 2The groundwork.I take your questionnaire and prove what your site should say, testing it against your real market, so the new site is built around what makes someone buy rather than a guess. Its fee comes off the build.
  3. 3The build.I rebuild your site, modern and easy to find, with your message up front and your tracking wired in.
  4. 4I run it.After it launches I run it. I keep it current as Google and the AI tools and the feeds change, watch it for problems, and send you a plain read every two weeks on how it is doing.

what it costs

How it's priced

  1. A look at your siteFree
  2. Your questionnaireYours to keep, free
  3. The groundworkFrom R5,000
  4. The buildQuoted to your site
  5. I run itFrom R500 a month

It starts with a free look at your site. I go through what you have and how customers find you, we talk through what I find, and you walk away with a questionnaire that maps what your site needs to say. It is yours to keep, whether or not we carry on.

From there, the groundwork proves it. I take your questionnaire and test what your site should say against your real market, so the build is shaped around what makes someone buy rather than a guess. Its fee comes off the build.

The build itself I quote to your site, because the work genuinely differs. A photographer needs a gallery and images sourced. A shop needs its products loaded and payments wired up. A plain services site is lighter than either. I price it once I can see which yours is.

After that, running the site costs from R500 a month, kept low because I host it myself. That keeps it live, watched, and current, and every two weeks you get a plain read on how it is doing. If something breaks, I catch it. Anything new, a page, a feature, a change of direction, I quote as its own job. The monthly stays small, and you only pay more when there is real work to do.
